Women's Film Fest Kicks Off In Portland
Portland, OR May 15, 2008 10:45 a.m.
The Portland Women’s Film Festival begins Thursday.
Over the next four days, dozens of films will be screened. A kick-off party is scheduled for Friday night at the Ace Hotel, there’ll be panel discussions and screenwriting workshops.
Organizer Tara Johnson-Medinger and film maker Elle Martini joined me earlier. First I asked Tara the obvious question -- why it’s important to hold a women’s film festival as opposed to just a film festival?
