University of Oregon reports nearly 40 students with coronavirus

The University of Oregon has reported that 39 students tested positive for coronavirus over the first three days of this week.

Thirty-six of those students live off campus. Three students who live on campus are recovering in isolation, according to the university.

U of O has reported a total of nearly 100 coronavirus cases among students and employees at its Eugene campus since June 1. The university’s fall term begins Tuesday.

Other universities in Oregon are also seeing an uptick in coronavirus cases as students move back to campus for the term.

Oregon State University reported nearly 30 students testing positive for COVID-19 at its Corvallis campus during move-in late last week.
